❋ What does Sew PRINT it. do?
We print large-format PDF sewing patterns so you can skip taping pages at home. Your patterns are printed full-size and ready to cut or trace—saving time and frustration. We’re small, family owned and operated, low volume and local. That means were are here to help you! Need it fast? Need it delivered? Let us know how we can help. ❋ What makes Sew PRINT it. different from big-box print shops?
Sew PRINT it. specializes in sewing patterns. We ensure proper scaling, offer local pickup, and provide friendly, knowledgeable and creative support.
❋ How do meetups work?
Instead of shipping, we offer local pickup at scheduled meetup times and locations. Before we print your order, we’ll make sure that that our MEETUP model works for you and clearly communicate how and when your prints will be available.
❋ How long does printing take?
Turnaround times vary based on timing, meetup location and order size. We’re small, low volume and local. Standard orders can usually turn around in 2 to 5 days. (usually 2 😉)
❋ What is your standard pricing?
Standard pricing is $10 per sheet and applies to sewing patterns only.
❋ Do you print color files?
Yes. We can print color. Please keep in mind we print to the file provided. If it is black and white, that is was is printed. If your pattern is in color, it will be printed in color unless otherwise requested.
❋ Why does standard pricing apply to sewing patterns only?
Sewing patterns typically use light, line-based ink coverage. Projects with heavier ink usage require more ink and print time and are quoted separately.
❋ What is your refund policy?
You can find our full refund policy HERE. As a small business, we need to have formal policies in place, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t here to support you. If you have a question or concern, please reach out so we can help.
❋ When do you start printing my order?
We begin printing after your order is submitted, payment is received, and your files are reviewed for print readiness.
Before printing, we’ll email you to confirm print details and service details—including your selected service level, meetup time, and location—or to request clarification if needed. Once confirmed, your order is queued for printing.
❋ How do you communicate with customers?
All of our communication is handled personally. Because we also have day jobs and school schedules, messages are monitored and answered during times that don’t conflict with our regular work hours. We appreciate your patience and will always respond as soon as we can.

❋ Do you print A0 / Copy-Shop formatted PDFs?
Yes. A0 / Copy-Shop PDFs are exactly what we print.
❋ What types of files can you print?
We print A0 / Copy-Shop formatted PDF sewing patterns. These files are designed specifically for large-format printing and are commonly included with digital sewing patterns.
❋ What paper do you print on?
We print on white 20 lb bond large-format paper. All pattern prints are 36" wide and produced on roll paper.
❋ What does “20 lb bond” mean?
20 lb bond is a lightweight paper similar to standard printer paper. It’s easy to cut, fold, and trace, making it ideal for sewing patterns without adding bulk or stiffness.
❋ Do you print home-printer letter size pattern files? Or 11x17?
Yes. While it isn’t our specialty, we can print home-printer, letter size and 11x17 files. If your pattern download includes an A0 (sometimes Azero) or Copy-Shop version, that is the file you’ll upload. Not sure what you have? Just send us a note so we can help.
❋ What counts as higher ink coverage?
Higher ink coverage includes projects such as posters, artwork, large solid shapes, dense graphics, or documents that are not sewing patterns. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to review your file and provide a quote.
❋ Can you review my file before I order?
Yes. If you’re unsure about formatting, scale, or sheet count, you can request a file review before placing your order. We can also let you know if you non-sewing project qualifies for a custom quote based on ink concentration.
❋ How do I know how many sheets my pattern will be?
Sheet count depends on how the pattern designer formatted the file. A file review can help confirm the number of sheets before printing. Just ask!
❋ Do you print non-sewing or custom projects?
Non-sewing projects may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Projects with higher ink requirements will be quoted separately.
❋ Do you offer shipping?
At this time, we focus on local MEETUPs. This allows us to keep pricing simple and provide a more personal, community-based service. In a pinch? We’re small and agile so we might be able to help. Send us a note to see if we can help.
